The High Tech Tamarises hotel enjoys a privileged location on the beach front of the sea promenade in Neguri, in the heart of Getxo. It has a large free parking zone in front of the hotel’s main door. A few metres away the sports port offers a great variety of snack bars, shops, and cafeterias. The nearby Puerto Viejo (old port) of Algorta is recognized for the quality of its restaurants specialized in the rich Basque cuisine. The nearest metro station to the hotel, Neguri, is three hundred metres away and in 20 minutes it will take you to the centre of Bilbao. There is a bus stop of the Bizkai bus and this can take you round the nearby villages and towns.
When coming from Bilbao take the A8 towards Santander, once you reach the town of Cruces – Hospital de Baracaldo, turn towards Rontegui-Getxo and continue towards the Playa de Ereaga. Half way along the sea front promenade you will come to the High Tech Tamarises hotel.
When coming from Loiu International Airport it is possible to rent a car or take a taxi, which is easier and the most comfortable. It takes approximately 20 minutes to get to the hotel and the approximate cost is 25 €. Another option is the BizkaiBus which leaves the airport every hour and for 1 € will take you to the Termibus bus station in Bilbao. Here you must take the metro towards Plentzia or Bidezábal or Larrabasterra. Get off at the Neguri station and go down Neguri street about 300 metres until you come to the hotel’s facade next to the beach.
